a mail from lee :
Here is some of the
improvements I had made on my 72 Mustang Grande'.
First I bought it from the second
owner who happened to be a friend of mine.
He bought it from the original
owner from South Carolina, so this car didn't
have much rust to begin with.
I have the car for 8 years now.
The car still has the original
floorboards!!! It had a tired 302 when I got
it.
It now has a .040 over 351 Windsor
with 400+H.P. FMX auto that has a 3500
stall speed converter with a shift
kit. I removed the 8" rear and put a 9"
posi with 3:91 gears. I also put
the NASA "RAM AIR" hood and functional ram
air system on it. The complete
suspension is replaced with polyurethane
bushings and oversized front sway
bar and rear Cobra Jet sway bar. I
installed frame connectors and
traction bars along with a 6 point roll cage
to stiffen the set-up. The
car handles almost like a newer Mustang!!
I have New Old Stock grill, door
handles,NASA hood,wheel well moldings, door
edge guards,and pop-open gas cap
on the car.
As far as factory options, this
car is loaded. It came from the factory with
air conditioning, AM-FM radio,deluxe
interior,rim-blow steering wheel,body
protection group, front and rear
bumper guards, halo vinyl top, very rare
POWER WINDOWS, full console, tinted
windows,power disc brakes and steering,
and I also have the original build
sheet.
